Get additional funds for college and receive one convenient monthly statement. All ASLA endorsed private loans are billed along with ASLA Stafford loans on the same invoice so you receive only one monthly statement for your college loans.
The cost of higher education continues to increase making educational access more difficult than ever before. Arkansas Student Loan Authority understands this situation and offers multiple options to students and parents trying to meet the challenge of finding adequate funds to pay these increasing costs.
In cooperation with EdFinancial Services and The Education Resources Institute (TERI), the Arkansas Student Loan Authority offers students access to alternative funding for college. If you find that all other options are exhausted, an ASLA alternative student loan, also known as a private student loan, may be your answer. This type of student loan is made by a private lender, not the federal government, and is based on a credit score of the borrower and or a co-borrower. Schools will be required to fill out an on-line certification for each private loan application.
ASLA encourages all borrowers to utilize its free student services to locate all possibilities for grants, scholarships and federally guaranteed student loans before considering any private loan options. However, if your personal financial requirements make the private loan a helpful program for you, we feel the products offered through your state’s loan authority offer competitive rates, creditable private banking partners and personal customer service for the life of your loan.
