Financial institutions that participate in the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) have the opportunity to customize a purchase agreement with the state’s designated secondary market for student loans. ASLA’s Loan Purchasing Program ensures that funds for education loans will be continually recycled for the needs of future Arkansas students. By selling student loans to ASLA, the original lender is relieved of the costs and risks associated with servicing and collecting student loans.

Loans sold by secondary market clients are eligible for ASLA‘s Interest Rate Discounts.
