The applicant must be a resident of Arkansas who will be attending a postsecondary education institution in Arkansas. (Postsecondary education institution refers to a 2 or 4 year university, college, technical or trade school.)

The applicant must be a high school senior, a current college student or plan to be enrolled in a postsecondary institution for the following Fall - Spring Academic Year and must be enrolling in a minimum of a half-time basis.

You may enter only one time. Duplicate entries will be removed; this includes any entries that are determined to be variations of the same entrant.

Deadline for entries is April 1. No late entries will be accepted. Scholarship recipients will be contacted, and their names will be posted to the website and social media pages.

Eligible entries will be drawn at random to select the scholarship recipients.

All scholarship recipients are required to submit a typed 500-word essay to remain eligible for the $1000 scholarship. An essay packet will be sent to the recipients containing the essay topic, the guidelines, the judging criteria, and the deadline for returning the completed essay.

The student essay judged to be the most outstanding will be awarded a scholarship that is eligible for renewal up to 3 additional years (not to exceed $4,000). The recipient must maintain satisfactory academic progress as determined by the institution.

The scholarship checks will be mailed to the financial aid office at the designated school. Checks will be made payable to the student and their selected educational institution.

Recipients of the scholarship commit to submitting a typed 500-word essay for the renewable scholarship, using the scholarship proceeds for educational purposes, reporting responsibilities associated with IRS requirements, and the use of their name and photograph for promotional purposes.
