The Arkansas Student Loan Authority is a nonprofit state agency created to provide information about and access to educational funding for all Arkansas students who wish to attend institutions of higher education.

What We Do

We make higher education accessible to all Arkansas students through the following programs:

Lender Support Programs

We work through Arkansas Community Lenders in your area to provide local access to educational loans.  Our participating lenders allow Arkansas banks to provide education loan programs to students and parents in their communities and across the state.

All loans remain under the ownership of the Arkansas Student Loan Authority which enables us to guarantee expert customer service and allows us to re-invest in programs that benefit Arkansas students.

Student Outreach Services (S0S)

We support community efforts for increasing awareness about higher education through our Student Outreach Services.

• We provide free information and assistance with college preparation and available financial aid programs.
• ASLA conducts free scholarship searches between the months of August and December for Arkansas students.
• We fund a minimum of twenty $1,000 scholarships annually.
